Your body knows its limits — there will be times you can't force it to push anymore. You have a lot on our plate right now. Hang in there, kid.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690983853781756587.post-68225800186444362552013-01-24T07:07:30.228-05:002013-01-24T07:07:30.228-05:00Living a life where "normal" is so very ...Living a life where "normal" is so very abnormal is just challenging. There's no way to get around it. But the good news is that you are a reasonable, rational human being, who realizes she can't be all things to all people.
I don't have any awesome advice except to say that in all the time I have known you, you have always been intuitive about what you and Aaron need and you should trust your gut. I have every faith that everything will come together, even if the how is not clear right now.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4690983853781756587.post-23770239587072327672013-01-23T09:24:06.546-05:002013-01-23T09:24:06.546-05:00I can't say I can relate to anything you are g...I can't say I can relate to anything you are going through, but I can relate to lack of sleep and pain. Working night shift, I was ALWAYS tired and my body just hurt. I didn't want to take a prescribed sleeping pill because they left me feeling groggy even after 8 hours of daytime sleep. I kid you not, 10mg of melatonin (which is kind of a heft dose of it) did the trick. I was able to sleep for 6-7 and actually feel refreshed before going back into work. At least one day a week, I would try yoga or spin (for relaxing or getting out aggression). I know you need to do things for Aaron and the two of you, but if you are feeling like shit, you aren't going to be able to help anyone, but you realize that. My ideas are just suggestions that you can totally roll your eyes at, but I know they have worked for a lot of my nursing friends who deal with the constant caregiving, messed up sleep life. Another note, if you know someone who does reiki, that can work wonders too. I swear. It provides just enough "me" time and aids with sleep. I sound like a hippie with these remedies.
